This is a collection of photographs of protests against police violence in New York City and Mineola, in the wake of the tragic death of George Floyd.  A number of the protests also marched for the rights of the LGBT community.  Several images are also from a vigil for fallen healthcare workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic held in Mineola by members of Local 1199 as well as far a better contract.  Protests and rallies can have a profound impact on society and challenge us to question if the status quo is something we should always accept.
